A safety data sheet is a technical document that provides detailed and
comprehensive information on a controlled product related to:
- Health effects of exposure to the product
- Hazard evaluation about the product’s handling, storage, or use
- Measure to protect workers at risk of exposure
- Emergency procedures.
The most applicable information to shipping on an SDS is Section 14. It outlines whether or not the product is considered dangerous by UN standards and, if so, provides the proper shipping name, UN Number, Classification, Packing Instructions, and required marks and labels.
To get your product approved for shipping, email the Easyship support team with a copy of the SDS.
