Email Verification

At Easyship, we prioritize the security and integrity of your account. Email verification is a crucial step in protecting your account against unauthorized access and ensuring that only you can access it. This process helps us confirm that the email address associated with your account is valid and accessible by you.

How Email Verification Works

To verify your email, we use a One-Time Password (OTP) system. Here's how it works:

  • When required, we'll send you a 6-digit OTP code to your email address.
  • This code is for one-time use and remains valid for 10 minutes, enhancing the security of the verification process. After 10 minutes, the code will expire and you will need to use a new code.
  • You'll need to enter this code into a verification modal to confirm your email address.

If you’re a new user that recently signed up:

As a new user, you're required to verify your email before you can purchase labels. Here's the step-by-step process:

  1. Verification Prompt:
    • Attempt to purchase a label or click 'Verify now' on the banner at the top of the shipment pages.
    • A verification modal will appear, prompting you to enter the OTP code.
  1. Receiving and Entering the OTP:
    • Check your email for the 6-digit OTP (make sure to check your spam folder if you haven’t received it)
    • Enter the received OTP into the verification modal.
  1. Completing Verification:
    • Once you enter the correct code, your email will be verified.
    • You'll then gain full access to purchase labels.

If you’re an existing user: 

Existing users will encounter a similar verification process during new sessions:

  1. Verification Prompt:
    • Upon logging in, you'll be presented with a verification modal asking for an OTP.
  1. Receiving and Entering the OTP:
    • A 6-digit OTP will be sent to your email, valid for 10 minutes.
    • Input this code in the verification modal.
  1. Completing Verification:
    • After entering the correct OTP, your email will be verified, ensuring ongoing security for your account.

If you don't receive the code:

If the code doesn't arrive or expires, click 'Resend code' one minute after the initial code was sent
