The Company section of your Easyship account is where you establish your branding that will be used in customer emails and add crucial import/export information. In this article, we break down all of the sections of the company profile.
Editing Company Information
Navigate to the account> Company. Here you can add your company logo to display on Packing Slips, Tracking Page, and Customer Emails.
Also, locate your company ID used by the support team to verify your account. Below is your company name on Easyship, which can be changed.
Import/Export Information
The three most common business IDs that merchants can enter.
- Business Registration (EIN)
A number used when exporting high-value items from the US, Employee Identification Number (EIN) is a numerical code used by businesses and private entities when engaging in the exportation of goods. EINs are used for filing via the Automated Export System (AES). Many couriers will require an EIN when shipping goods valued over 2,500 USD.
- EORI Number (UK)
From January 1st, 2021, an EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) number is required to move goods into the UK. Merchants can apply for an EORI number in 10 minutes here: Get an EORI number. - IOSS (EU)
The Import One-Stop-Shop (IOSS) provides an electronic portal created to centralize the declaration and payment of VAT for distance sales of imported goods (with a value not exceeding €150) for overseas-based sellers.
