Getting Started

You can find an Easyship-compatible order file export for download in your Indiegogo account. When you upload this Indiegogo orders file into the Easyship platform, a draft shipment will be created for each order with a list of shipping quotes for you to review before purchasing a shipping label.

Easyship requires some additional product details in order to generate complete and accurate shipping quotes, which are not included in the Indiegogo orders file export. The best way to ensure complete shipment details and accurate shipping quotes is to fill in your Product Listings catalog before importing your orders file.

Adding Product Listings Before Importing Orders

Before you import your Indiegogo orders into the Easyship platform, you should first fill in the Product Listings catalog. This is where you’ll enter your Indiegogo campaign item details that are required to generate a complete and accurate list of shipping quotes.

Each time you have new Indiegogo orders you want to import to Easyship, FIRST double check your Product Listings catalog to make sure all new products are added with the below values (see more details here):

  • Item SKU
  • Item Description
  • Item Weight
  • Item Category or HS Code
  • Item Dimensions (optional, but strongly recommend)

Uh oh! I imported my orders before updating my Product Listings. What now?

If you’ve accidentally imported your Indiegogo orders file BEFORE updating your Product Listings, you’ll notice that the uploaded shipments may have several missing info warnings and no shipping quotes available. This is because Easyship requires some additional product details in order to generate shipping quotes, which are not included in the Indiegogo orders file export.

Don’t worry! You don’t need to edit each shipment’s details one-by-one. Here’s the fastest way to add in the missing item details and get your shipping quotes:

  1. Delete Shipments: 
    • Bulk select all the shipments you just imported on the “Create Shipments” page > Click on the “More” dropdown > Click “Delete Selected”
  2. Add or Update Product Listings:
  3. Import the Orders File again:

Adding & Updating your Product Listings

Easyship requires some additional product details in order to generate complete and accurate shipping quotes, which are not included in the Indiegogo orders file export. Here are the item details required by Easyship to generate shipping quotes (see full list here):

  • Item Description
  • Item Weight
  • Item Category or HS Code
  • Item Dimensions (optional, but strongly recommend)

If these required product details are missing when a shipment is created, Easyship will show incomplete shipment warnings and shipping quotes will be unavailable. To avoid incomplete shipments and get accurate shipping quotes right away, it’s necessary to fill in your Product Listings catalog BEFORE importing your orders file to Easyship.

When you import your Indiegogo orders file, Easyship will create a draft shipment and auto-fill the missing shipment item values using the details from the Product Listings. If all the required shipment item details are filled in, Easyship can generate a complete and accurate list of shipping courier quotes for you to review.

How does Easyship auto-fill missing shipment item details from Product Listings?

When you upload your Indiegogo order file to Easyship, Easyship will use the “SKU” column to find the matching Product Listing entry, and auto-fill in any of the blank shipment item details from the matched Product Listing. If no matching “SKU” is found in Product Listings, then the shipment item values will remain blank in the created shipment.

Adding Product Listings

You can find your Product Listings catalog in your Easyship account by clicking on the “Product Listings” section in the left-hand navigation bar.

There are 2 ways you can add your Indiegogo campaign item details to your Product Listings catalog.

Import from File (recommended)

  1. Navigate to your Product Listings catalog in your Easyship account.
  2. Click “Add Products”.
  3. Select “Others” > “Import from file”.

  4. Download a blank product upload file template.
  5. Fill in the required columns for each product/item option - See list below.

  6. Save file (Excel or CSV).
  7. Upload file.

Manual Input

  1. Navigate to your Product Listings catalog in your Easyship account.
  2. Click “Add Products”.
  3. Select “Others” > “Manual input”.
  4. Fill in the required inputs for a single product/item option - See list below.
  5. Save.
  6. Repeat steps for each product/item option.

Product Listing Fields/Inputs

  • SKU/ID (required)
    • Use the value from the “Sku” column in your Indiegogo orders file.
  • Product Name/Description (required)
    • This is the “Item Name” from your Indiegogo orders file.
  • Item Length, Item Width, Item Height (recommended)
    • If you know your item option dimensions, we strongly recommend adding them.
    • Some shipping carriers calculate rates based on the parcel dimensions (rather than weight), so adding dimensions will allow us to return a more complete and accurate list of shipping options & rates.
  • Item Weight (required)
    • This is a required field to generate all shipping quotes. 
    • Please enter the precise weight of the item option for the most accurate rates.
  • Easyship Category/HS Code (required)
    • This is a required field to generate all shipping quotes. You must fill in one of the Easyship categories OR a valid HS Code.

Importing your Indiegogo Orders

You can find an Easyship-compatible order file export for download in your Indiegogo account. When you upload this Indiegogo file into the Easyship platform, a draft shipment will be created for each order with a list of shipping quotes for you to review before purchasing a shipping label.

NOTE: If you follow the below steps and find that, after import, the majority of shipments created have validation errors (missing details) blocking Easyship from providing the list of shipping courier quotes, then please double check that your Product Listing catalog details are complete. 

Here are the steps for importing your Indiegogo orders to Easyship:

  1. Export your orders file from the Indiegogo platform. i26.png
  2. Confirm that your Product Listings details are updated & accurate for all of the items included in the exported file from Indiegogo.

  3. Go to the “Create Shipments > Advanced” section in the left-hand navigation bar.
  4. Click “Add Shipments” > “Import from file”.

  5. Click “Upload”. Select your Kickstarter orders file to be imported.
  6. Wait a couple minutes for your imported shipments to be created.

  7. Your shipments are created and ready to be fulfilled!
