Your account security is our priority at Easyship.
To protect your data and shipments, we’ve added an extra layer of security to your account while keeping login easy for trusted devices.
In this article:
What's Changing?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is now mandatory for logins from a new device by requiring a one-time password (OTP) via email.
This means:
- You will receive a one-time code via email the first time you log in on a new device or browser.
- You can mark devices as trusted so you won’t need to enter an OTP every time you log in from the same device.
This strengthens your account security by providing all the benefits of two-factor authentication (2FA), without the inconvenience of entering an OTP each time you login.
How to Add a Trusted Device
As part of this security upgrade, you can now easily mark your devices as trusted.
To mark a device as trusted:
1. Log out of your Easyship account.
2. Log back in using your email and password.
3. You will receive a one-time code to your registered email.
4. Enter the code in the login screen window.
5. Select “Don’t ask again on this browser” to trust your device for future logins.
Once set, you won’t need to enter a code every time you log in from this trusted device for up to 180 days, unless you clear cookies or use a different browser.
Why is 2FA Important?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) greatly reduces the risk of unauthorized access if your password is ever compromised.
Even if your password is hacked, guessed, or phished, the intruder will not have access to your Easyship account without the second approval step or your trusted device, making your account more secure.
