Easyship now supports USPS Hosted Negotiated Service Agreements (NSAs), allowing you to access your own contracted USPS rates directly through your Easyship dashboard.
This guide walks you through how to connect your USPS NSA on Easyship via the USPS Customer Online Portal (COP) and Business Customer Gateway (BCG).
Who Is This For?
- Brands that want to use their USPS discounted rates across all sales channels
- Merchants who want USPS NSA rates to appear in checkout calculations
- Teams who want to streamline USPS account management

Before You Begin
To complete the connection, you will need the following details from your USPS Business Customer Gateway (BCG):
- CRID (Customer Registration ID)
- Master MID (Mailer ID)
- Child MID(s)
- EPS Account Number (Payment account)
- USPS COP login credentials with MFA enabled (if applicable)

Where to Find Your CRID, MID, Master MID & Child MIDs
All required USPS identifiers are available in your USPS Business Customer Gateway (BCG) under Account → Manage Locations.
These are the values Easyship requires for NSA connection:

Below is an example of where these identifiers appear inside USPS BCG:
You can also find your EPS Account Number under My Payment Accounts:

FAQs
1. Where do I find my CRID, MID, Master MID, Child MID(s) and EPS details?
You can find all required USPS identifiers in your USPS Business Customer Gateway (BCG) under Account → Manage Locations.
If your account view looks different or if you see multiple Child MIDs and are unsure which one to use, contact your USPS Account Manager to verify the correct details.
2. What happens if I have multiple Child MIDs?
You may enter one Child MID during setup. Additional MIDs can be added later by contacting Easyship Support.
3. Why do I need to authorize Easyship in USPS COP?
USPS requires this step to confirm you permit Easyship to access and host your NSA rates securely and to ensure compliance with USPS integration requirements.
4. How do I pay for USPS NSA shipments?
You continue paying USPS directly through your existing EPA account—Easyship does not bill you for USPS NSA postage. For merchants with a USPS Hosted NSA, Easyship only facilitates USPS label creation through your account and rates, which is then charged directly via your agreement.
5. My connection failed. What should I do?
Most connection failures come from incorrect or messy USPS account data. Try these steps:
- Verify your CRID, Master MID, Child MID(s), and EPS with your USPS rep
- Ask your rep to clean up duplicate Child MIDs if they exist
- Log out of USPS COP and retry in a private browser
- Confirm your EPS is linked to the correct Master MID
- Retry the connection in Easyship
If the issue persists, contact Easyship Support.
6. Why use Easyship to manage my USPS NSA shipping labels?
Easyship's top-rated shipping software and API offer high-volume merchants with a USPS Hosted NSA even more advantages. Unlike competitors who often gatekeep volume, Easyship accepts almost all NSA clients and provides a modern, user-friendly interface with quick 5-15 minute setup, 1:1 onboarding, and 24/7 customer support. Manage complex fulfillment workflows with automated shipping rules, smart box selection, and fast, one-click batch label printing. Easyship gives you complete visibility over your shipping costs with advanced analytics, centralized multi-channel fulfillment, integrated tracking, and intelligent rate selection that many legacy systems can't match.
7. Why is USPS account cleanliness important?
USPS NSA connections require:
- One correct CRID
- One correct Master MID
- Properly assigned Child MID(s)
- EPS is correctly tied to your Master MID
Many merchants discover their USPS account contains outdated, duplicate, or misassigned MIDs and this prevents Easyship from connecting. Easyship cannot override incorrect USPS setup. Your USPS Account Manager must correct IDs before Easyship can authenticate your NSA.
8. What is a USPS Hosted NSA?
While there are different types of agreements available with the United States Postal Service that depend on the type of contracting business and industry, generally for Easyship customers, a USPS Negotiated Service Agreement (NSA) is a contract between the USPS and an eCommerce merchant or business that provides customized, discounted shipping rates based on set requirements, like the volume of packages you ship with USPS. It is often reserved for Enterprise and higher volume businesses that frequently ship above the minimum criteria. Connecting your USPS NSA with Easyship allows you to benefit from our advanced shipping software—automatically applying your contracted rates when you create shipments and print labels while ensuring that any shipments generated are counted towards your overall NSA volume.
