Easyship now supports Amazon Buy Shipping, allowing you to generate Amazon-approved labels directly from your dashboard while staying compliant with Amazon’s delivery requirements, Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) program, and Amazon Business policies.
Why Use Amazon Buy Shipping with Easyship?
Amazon Buy Shipping is required to meet Amazon’s delivery commitment for Prime orders. For non-Prime orders, sellers can meet delivery commitments using supported carriers (including those available via Easyship), though Amazon Buy Shipping is recommended to access Amazon’s delivery protections.
With Easyship, you can:
- Use Amazon’s Shipping Settings Automation (SSA) pick to meet delivery promises
- Get real-time indicators showing whether a rate meets Amazon’s commitment
- See “ship by” deadlines and estimated delivery dates (EDD)
- Protect account health metrics such as On-Time Delivery Rate (OTDR), Valid Tracking and A-to-z Claims
- Use your own pre-negotiated carrier accounts or Amazon’s negotiated label rates
- Manage all Amazon orders, rules, labels, and tracking in a single workflow
Easyship also shows “Meets Amazon Commitment” or “Doesn’t Meet Amazon Commitment” on:
- Amazon Buy Shipping rates (including Amazon Shipping)
- Easyship’s own discounted carrier rates

How Buy Shipping Protects Your Amazon Account
Using Buy Shipping helps safeguard several key performance metrics that influence your Amazon Account Health Rating (AHR):
Delivery Promise
The timeframe Amazon commits to the buyer during checkout.
Amazon Delivery Commitment
Whether the ship date and selected service’s EDD meet or beat the delivery promise.
On-Time Delivery Rate (OTDR)
Percentage of orders delivered by the promised date. Buy Shipping shipments contribute positively and include protection (US only).
Order Defect Rate (ODR)
Percentage of orders with negative feedback, A-to-z claims, or chargebacks. Buy Shipping can reduce delivery-related A-to-z claims.
Valid Tracking Rate (VTR)
Buy Shipping labels always meet VTR requirements.
A-to-z Guarantee Delivery Claims Protection
When using Buy Shipping on Easyship, Amazon protects sellers against delivery-related A-to-z claims as long as the shipment meets the required commitment.

- Estimated delivery dates
You can choose either:
- Amazon Buy Shipping rates (billed by Amazon)
- Your own carrier account rates (billed by the carrier via Amazon)
- Easyship discounted rates (billed by Easyship)
4. Automate Shipping Selection
You can set a rule so that all Amazon orders automatically use Amazon’s SSA pick.

Example: If Order Source = Amazon → Use Amazon’s SSA pick
This prevents accidental non-compliant service selection.
5. Print Label

- Tracking auto-syncs back to Amazon
FAQs
Does Buy Shipping work for both Prime and non-Prime orders?
Yes, Easyship is one of the only Seller Fulfilled Prime shipping software providers that supports both Prime and non-Prime orders.
How do I know if a service meets Amazon’s delivery commitment?
Easyship’s dashboard alerts will show:
- Meets Amazon Commitment
- Does Not Meet Amazon Commitment
This appears on both Amazon-sourced Buy Shipping rates and Easyship discounted rates.
What protections do I get when using Buy Shipping?
Assuming you have correctly declared the package details and tendered the package to the carrier by the defined “Ship By” date, then Amazon will provide you with:
- On-Time Delivery Rate (OTDR) protection (US)
- Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) compliance
- Guaranteed A-to-z delivery claims protection
Will using Amazon Buy Shipping restrict my carrier choice?
No, you will still have the choice of both Amazon Buy Shipping and Easyship discounted carriers in your dashboard, depending on your region. In order to be eligible for the delivery protections and program guarantees, you must select from the approved selection of Amazon Buy Shipping carriers, which are clearly labelled as “meeting delivery commitment”.
For the easiest compliance, simply set up a shipping rule to always select the Amazon SSA.
Are labels billed through Easyship or Amazon?
- Amazon Buy Shipping labels are billed by Amazon
- Courier labels purchased outside Buy Shipping are billed by Easyship
Can I use my own carrier contracts?
Yes, this is the most common use case for most Amazon sellers. Amazon will still validate the service and provide delivery protections, however, you will need to link your own courier accounts in Amazon Seller Central for Buy Shipping. Outside of Buy Shipping or for orders from other sales channels like Shopify or TikTok, you can also connect your carrier accounts natively within Easyship under the Integrations tab.
