Easyship will calculate the volumetric weight of your shipment based on the values you provide when creating your order.
After the courier picks up your parcel, they will take the measurements of your parcel in terms of dimensions and weight. If there is a discrepancy between their measurements and the measurements you have provided, you can be invoiced or credited for the difference.
Discrepancies can occur if you provided metrics that are inaccurate, or you've used a much larger box than required for your shipment.
Please note that this may also happen if you have things sticking out from your parcel.
This can be anything from bubblewrapping, shipping labels or other small things causing the dimensions to increase.
To avoid such surcharges, try to always ensure that your parcel is neatly packaged.
