Before We Get Started
To successfully connect your BigCommerce store to Easyship, you will first need to have the following information ready:
- The BigCommerce Access Token, Client ID and Client Secret - instructions for getting this will be explained below
- Your Store Hash - instructions for getting this will also be explained below
If you already have this information, you can skip ahead to the section titled Connecting Your BigCommerce Store.
BigCommerce Access Token, Client Key and Client Secret
To generate your BigCommerce Consumer Key and Secret, go to your BigCommerce Admin panel, click on Advanced Settings and then click API Accounts (as highlighted below).
When you're on the API Accounts page, click on the Create API Account button. This will bring you to the OAuth Scopes page where you will first need to enter a name for your API (as shown and highlighted below).
For the OAuth scopes itself, you will need to enable modify for the following scopes - Information & Settings, Orders, Order Transaction and Products (as shown and highlighted below).
Once this is complete, click 'save' and you will see the screen below, listing your Client ID, Client Secret and Access Token. You will also get a copy of this in the .txt file that BigCommerce sends to you via the browser. Please note that this file is important so please store it some where safe.
Finding Your Store Hash
To find your store hash, open the .txt file that BigCommerce sent to you via the browser. You will see a file similar to the one shown below.
Look for the line named API Path, and then copy the section after stores/. For example if your API path is https://api.bigcommerce.com/stores/asdfg12345/v3/ then your store hash will be asdfg12345.
Connecting Your BigCommerce Store
In the Easyship dashboard, go to 'Connect > Add New' and click on the BigCommerce logo.
Then, enter your store name, followed by the client key and secret, the access token and the store hash. Click on the "Connect" button and let Easyship take care of the rest!
