How to Edit Company Information

The Company section of your Easyship account is where you establish your branding that will be used in customer emails as well as add crucial import/export information. In this article, we break down all of the sections of the company profile.

Editing Company Information

Navigate to the Account > Company section on the left-hand column in the Easyship dashboard. If any changes are made, be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

On the top of this page, you can add your own company logo to be used on Packing Slips, Tracking Page and Customer Emails.

Additionally, you can locate your company ID which is used by the support team to verify your account. Below is your company name on Easyship, which can be edited.

Import/Export Information

In this section of the article, we break down the three business IDs that merchants can enter.

  • Business Registration (EIN)

An essential number for exporting high-value items from the US, the Employee Identification Number is a numerical code used by businesses and private entities when engaging in the exportation of goods. EINs are used for filing via the Automated Export System (AES). Many couriers will require an EIN when shipping goods valued over 2,500 USD, and in some cases lower.

  • EORI Number (UK)

From January 1st, 2021 an EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) number will be required in order to move goods into the UK. Merchants can apply for an EORI number in 10 minutes here: Get an EORI number. More information on UK Customs Laws and how to apply can be found in a separate article: Brexit: Jan 2021 UK Customs Changes

  • IOSS (EU)

The IOSS allows suppliers and electronic interfaces selling imported goods to buyers in the EU to collect, declare and pay the VAT to the tax authorities, instead of making the buyer pay the VAT at the moment the goods are imported into the EU as it was previously the case (for products over 22 EUR). More information on IOSS can be found in the following Easyship articles: IOSS (Import One Stop Shop), IOSS and Easyship
