How to Connect Grok to the Easyship MCP Server

This article explains how to set up the Easyship MCP connector in Grok so you can manage shipping tasks, including comparing rates, creating shipments, buying labels, scheduling pickups, and tracking deliveries all through natural language.

Before You Begin

You'll need:

  • A Grok account at grok.com
  • An active Easyship account

Step 1: Open the Connectors Panel in Grok

  1. Go to grok.com and log in
  2. In the left navigation, click your profile card at the bottom left
  3. Click Connectors
  4. Click New Connector
  5. Select Custom

Step 2: Configure the Easyship MCP Connector

  1. Give the connector a name — e.g. Easyship MCP
  2. Enter the following URL:

https://mcp.easyship.com/mcp

Note: There is no separate test environment for MCP actions. Any action that consumes credits — such as generating labels — will incur real charges. We recommend testing with low-value shipments first.

Step 3: Authenticate with Easyship

  1. After entering the URL, you will be redirected to the Easyship OAuth flow
  2. If you are not already logged in to Easyship, you will be prompted to log in or create a new account
  3. Review the requested permissions and click Authorise to grant Grok access to your Easyship account
  4. Once authorised, you will be redirected back to Grok with the connector active

Step 4: Try It Out

Open any new or existing chat in Grok and try a prompt like:

I want to ship a parcel from New York, USA to Toronto, Canada. Origin: 350 5th Avenue, New York, US 10001. Destination: 220 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON, Canada M5B 2H1. Parcel: 1.98 lb, 6 × 4 × 2 cm. Item: Business documents, quantity 1, HS Code 4911.99, declared value $1.00 USD, category documents, DDU. Show me the cheapest and best value shipping options with delivery times and courier names.

FAQs

What if I'm redirected to OAuth but the page doesn't load? Check your internet connection and try again. If the issue persists, try a different browser or clear your browser cache. Make sure you're not blocking third-party cookies, as these are required for the OAuth flow.

What if the connector shows as disconnected after authorising? Try removing the connector and adding it again from scratch. Make sure you complete the full OAuth flow — including clicking Authorise — before closing the browser window. If the problem continues, check that your Easyship account is active and in good standing.

What if some tools aren't working after connecting?

  • Verify your Easyship account has the required permissions for the action you're attempting
  • Disconnect and reconnect the Easyship MCP connector in Grok
  • Check your network connection
  • Make sure you're connecting to https://mcp.easyship.com/mcp

If the issue persists, remove the connector and re-add it.

Can I use the same Easyship account across multiple MCP clients (Grok, Cursor, Claude, etc.)?

Yes. Your Easyship account works across any MCP client. Be mindful of rate limits and avoid running conflicting operations (such as editing the same shipment from two clients at once).

Do I need to pay to use the Easyship MCP with Grok?

No additional cost for the MCP connection itself. Easyship provides API access across all plans. If you exceed the included API limits for your plan, overage fees may apply. See pricing plans and included limits.

What Easyship actions can I perform through Grok?

You can compare shipping rates, create shipments, buy labels, schedule pickups, track deliveries, validate addresses, and more — all through natural language. For the full list of available tools, see the Easyship MCP Developer Docs.
