UPS Ground Saver uses two carriers to get your package to its destination. UPS handles pickup and the main part of the journey. USPS delivers it for the final leg, to the recipient's address.
How to Drop off Your UPS Ground Saver Package?
1. Find your nearest UPS drop-off location or UPS collection point. This includes UPS stores, UPS drop boxes, and UPS-authorized shipping centers.
2. Take your package there with the UPS Ground Saver label attached.
3. Don't use a USPS post office or USPS collection box, even if it's more convenient.
Note: If your package ends up at USPS instead of UPS, it will get stuck. USPS is only paid for the last leg of the delivery. When a package arrives at USPS without going through UPS first, USPS treats it as underpaid postage. The package won't move forward, and it usually won't come back to you either.
Why the Label Has Two Barcodes
Your shipping label has two barcodes:
The main UPS barcode - UPS uses this to process your package.
Secondary USPS barcode - Used only for the last mile, once the package is already in the UPS network.
The USPS barcode doesn't mean you can drop the package off at USPS. It's only for tracking the final leg, after UPS has processed the package.

Why does my label have a USPS tracking number if I need to use UPS?
UPS Ground Saver keeps costs down by having UPS handle the initial transit and USPS complete the final delivery. The USPS number tracks that last leg. It doesn't mean you should drop the package off at USPS.
What happens if I already dropped my package off at a USPS location?
It will likely get held up, since USPS hasn't been paid for the full journey. It may not move forward, and it may not come back to you automatically. Contact Easyship support as soon as possible if this happened to you.
How do I find my nearest UPS drop-off point?
Use the UPS location finder on UPS's website, or check the drop-off details on your shipping label. Compare it to your nearest USPS location so you don't mix up the two.
Does this apply to other Easyship shipping services?
Yes. Other economical services that combine two carriers, like FedEx Ground Economy, work the same way. Drop your package off with the main carrier named at the top of the service, not the secondary carrier referenced on the label.
Do I need to change anything on my Easyship dashboard for this?
No. This is only about where you physically drop off the package. No dashboard settings change.
