Why the Drop-Off Location Matters
UPS Ground Saver is an economical shipping service that uses two carriers to get your package to its destination. UPS handles the first and main part of the journey, and USPS (the United StatWhy the Drop-Off Location Matterses Postal Service) delivers the package for the final leg, to the recipient's address.
Because two carriers are involved, your shipping label includes two barcodes:
- The main UPS barcode, which UPS uses to process your package.
- A secondary USPS barcode, which is only used for the last-mile delivery once the package is already in the UPS network.
Note: The USPS barcode on your label does not mean your package can be dropped off at a USPS location. It's only for the final leg of the delivery, after UPS has already processed the package.
Where to Drop Off Your Package
- Locate your nearest UPS drop-off location or UPS collection point, this includes UPS stores, UPS drop boxes, and UPS-authorized shipping centers.
