When you create a shipment, you land on autofill mode by default. Just start typing the sender's or recipient's address, and Easyship suggests matching addresses. Pick the correct match, and Easyship verifies it's accurate before you ship, anywhere in the world.
How to Use Address Autofill and Verification
- Go to Shipment, click on To Ship and when you create shipment manually by clicking ‘+’, you land on Receiver Information.
- In the recipient address section, you see a single line ‘Autofill Input’. You can also switch to the manual mode if you have the complete address.
- You can now start typing the recipient's address - this can be the sender's or the recipient's address.
- Now select the correct address from the list of suggestions as they appear.
- Look for the green checkmark under the address field. This means the address has been verified and is unlikely to bounce.
Please note that the autofill function is available while creating a US Sender/Ship From address from the Account > Addresses page.
FAQs
What does the green checkmark next to an address mean?
It means that Easyship has verified the address, and it's unlikely to bounce or get returned due to an incorrect address.
Can I still enter an address manually?
Yes. Click on Enter Manually at any point while creating your shipment. This way, you switch from Autofill mode to manual mode and can now enter your address in both modes.
What happens if I switch to manual mode after my address was verified?
Easyship keeps the verified status. However, the status is kept if the address has not been amended from the list of suggestion. It will be gone if user edits the address and will have manually check ensure accuracy for a smooth delivery.
