What is Pick & Pack
Pick & Pack is a workflow designed for high-volume shippers, minimizing manual effort, reducing packing errors, and improving fulfillment efficiency with easy barcode scanning and quick label printing.
How to Access Pick & Pack
- Availability: Pick & Pack is available on Premier plan accounts and above.
- Access: Pick & Pack appears in the Create Shipments section on your dashboard.
Initial Setup
Pick & Pack is best facilitated using a barcode scanner. This helps you ship faster and more accurately.
Packing Settings
1. Shipment Barcodes:

Go to Packing Settings and ensure the order/shipment barcodes are displayed on your packing slips for easy scanning. See How to Customize Your Packing Slips.

2. Verify Pack Count (optional):

- Enable this option in Pick & Pack Settings for added accuracy in packing by confirming item counts
3. Visual Shipment Information (optional):

- Enable product images in Pick & Pack Settings to display thumbnails of items, which helps reduce packing mistakes.
Shipment Views

Create views (recommended): Views are filters created from the Advanced Page to view different shipments based on the filters. These views are then selectable to print packing slips for in bulk in Pick & Pack
Balance Setup
- Important: Pick & Pack requires available balance for label purchases. Ensure your account balance is topped up from the Payment Methods.

You can scan the barcode on the products directly if the SKU on Easyship's Product Listing matches the product barcode. Refer to Adding and Editing Products.

Workflow
Step 1: Picking Orders

Choose a Picking Method:
- Order by Order: If you prefer to pick your products order by order, you can use the packing slips. This can either be generated by selecting the shipments ready to ship from Create Shipment > Advanced or by shipment views from Pick & Pack.
- Batch Picking: To pick the products for a batch of orders at once, you can generate a pick list from Create Shipment > Advanced > More.
Step 2: Packing Process
Once you have the products picked you may proceed to packing.
1. Generate and Print Packing Slips:

- If you haven't already in when picking orders, select the orders you wish to fulfill and print the packing slips.
2. Identify Orders with Barcode Scanning:

- Scan: Use a barcode scanner to scan the order/shipment barcode on the packing slip, bringing up the order details automatically.
- Manual Entry: Alternatively, search for the order number or shipment ID manually.

3. Verify and Pack Items:

- Review the items in the order, and if enabled, use Verify Pack Count to mark items as packed. Enabled verification in the Pick & Pack Settings.
- For adjustments, you can also "Unpack" items as needed.

4. Print Labels:

- Once all items are packed, print the shipping label with a single click, without additional steps.
- Error Handling: If issues like invalid box dimensions or low balance arise, you’ll receive guidance to resolve them.

Step 4: Schedule Pickups
- Pick Up Management: For completed orders, if you need to schedule pickups, go to the Pick Ups page to schedule order pickups, making the transition from packing to shipping seamless.
